Summer Terrace

Enjoy summer days at the Hansa Café Bar & Brasserie terrace everyday from 11am to 11 pm.

Starting from 3 June, Hansa Café Bar & Brasserie will be serving a new summer menu inspired by the historic “Potato Square”. Potato Square is the nickname Helsinki locals gave to ylioppilasaukio, where our terrace is located. The name dates back to 1959, when french fries were sold there as a part of student fundraising campaign. Over time, the name became a lasting part of Helsinki’s urban culture.

This summer’s menu continues the story with a modern twist. Expect potato-inspired dishes, classics, sweet treats, and refreshing drinks perfect for sunny days and warm summer evenings.

DJ Ropsu will be playing from Wednesday to Saturday, bringing music, great atmosphere, and relaxed summer terrace vibes throughout the season.

The terrace is open daily (weather permitting) from 11 am to 11pm.

The food menu is available on weekdays from 11:00 AM to 10:00 PM and on weekends from 1:00 PM to 10:00 PM, both on the terrace and indoors.

In case of rain, our summer terrace menu will be served indoors. DJ Ropsu will also move inside to keep the atmosphere going.
